33 Patch

At the end of last summer, I made some graphics for the joint 33rd birthday celebration of Lyra Pramuk and Caterina Barbieri. They wanted this motif of a bird stepping amongst thorns, and some nod to the number. We also produced a round of these patches, B/W, but all found them a bit too clean. Over the past weeks I dyed them down to a burgundy / magenta zone, washed and ironed them flat again. There was no plan to start selling them on Valetine's Day but it's line with the colorway! The diameter is 9cm, and each patch has some variation in coloring, because of being hand-dyed.

Profits will be redirected to a fundraiser securing water and baby formula for newborns and mothers in Rafah, which, according to UNICEF, is now one of the most densely populated areas on earth. About 1.3 million Palestinians are seeking shelter there, half of them are children, and the region is being bombed every day.
